Case-based training on major gifts fundraising (Helsinki)

“Seven steps” is a well-established methodology for working with major gifts – from identifying potential major donors to stewardship and continued involvement. During this training, we go through the model step by step. The participants will also be presented with a number of cases related to the different steps: prospect research / donor vetting, develop a strategy, situations that may arise in connection with meetings, agree on details around the gift, stewardship, etc.

Date and Time: 4th of February 2025, 13.00-16.00 Finland time

The training is led by Johan Wennström, Managing Director for Brakeley Nordic.

Camilla Wardi, Head of Donor Relations at Aalto University, will also contribute with her experiences from various aspects of major gifts fundraising.

The training will be held in English. We welcome participants from different kinds of organisations. The cases we present will be relevant for universities, charities/NGOs, cultural institutions, etc. Participants from other Nordic countries are also welcome. The training is relevant both for people who are new to major gifts fundraising and want to learn the basics, and experienced fundraisers who would like to reflect together with others and get new inspiration.

Please note that this is a very interactive session and that all participants will be encouraged to actively participate in the discussions.
